Falu among 9 banned from leaving country

Staff Correspondent: BNP leader Mosaddek Ali Falu among nine businessmen have been blacklisted from leaving the country over allegedly laundering $8 million to Dubai through different anomalies and corruption.

The Anti-Corruption Corruption (ACC) issued letters, signed its director Syed Iqbal Hossain, to immigration police in this regard on Thursday.

ACC’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the news to risingbd.

He said, “The watchdog committee found authenticity over the allegations and there has been information that the accused concerned were trying to leave the country. So, they have been blacklisted from leaving country.”

The accused who are banned from leaving country are: BNP leader and former lawmaker Mosaddek Ali Falu, director of RK Paints Ltd SAK Ikramuzzaman, his son director of RK Consumer Ltd Kamaruzzaman, director of the same institute Amir Hossain, director MA Malek, Julpahar Bangladesh Ltd director Syed AK Anwaruzzaman, Roza Properties Ltd’s Asfaq Uddin Ahmed, RK Power Ltd’s director Engineer Maksudul Karim and RK Paints Ltd’s director Saylin Zaman Akter.
