Vegetable prices fall

Staff Correspondent: Prices of most of the vegetables have marked a fall in the city’s kitchen markets following fresh supply.

Most of the vegetables are selling at a lower price compared to recent weeks. The price of Brinjal has fallen by Tk15 per kg and is selling at Tk 40 per kg while Cucumber is selling at Tk 30 per kg on Friday.

Tomato is selling at Tk 80, Ladies finger is selling at Tk 30, Pointed gourd is selling at Tk 40 per kg.

Visiting different kitchen markets including Jigatola, New-market, Rayerbazar this correspondent witnessed that the price of most of the vegetable reduced than last week.

However, the price of Chicken (broiler) was unchanged. Chicken (broiler) was selling at Tk 160 per kg while chicken (local) Tk 210.

Besides, the prices of meat and mutton are also unchanged.
