Nahid call for participation in edu’ system development

Staff Correspondent: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid urged all to work for the development of the country’s education system with the encouragement of Bangabandhu idealism.

He said, “Bangabandhu’s main dream and idealism was to make free the people of Bangladesh. He had struggled to make the dream fulfil for his whole life.”

The Minister said this while speaking at a programme arranged on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 43rd martyred anniversary and the National Mourning Day.

The programme was held at the auditorium of International Mother Language Institute of the capital’s Segunbagicha on Friday.

Bangladesh Private Universities Association organised programme.

Nahid said, “Bangabandhu dreamed to build Bangladesh as a hunger and poverty free country. But people who were enemies of his idealism took his life along with his family members on August 15, 1975. The defeated force of the Liberation War assassinated him to take revenge.”

“Now Bangladesh is going ahead with the leadership of Bangabandhu daughter Sheikh Hasina. The education sector sees unimaginable development in last nine years. It has been possible to bring everybody under the education. Nearly 33 to 34 children achieved higher education,” he claimed.
