Agriculture officer killed in Dhaka road crash

Staff Correspondent: An officer of agriculture development board was killed when a bus rammed him in Farmgate area of Dhaka on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam, 55, an agriculture officer of Krishibid Institute Bangladesh (KIB).

Confirming the matter Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost said that the victim was heading towards his office around 11:00am. Meanwhile, a passenger bus hit him in the area, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 12:00pm.
