10 more districts get new DCs

Secretariat Correspondent: In a major reshuffle in field administration, the government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DC) and district magistrate to 10 more districts.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday.
As per the notification, director of Prime Minister Office (PMO) Atul Sarkar has been made Deputy Commissioner (DC) and district magistrate of Joypurhat, Sebastin Rema, Private Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Minister, the DC of Gaibandha, Begum Sabina Yesmin, Deputy Secretary of Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, the DC of Panchagarh, Kazi Abed Hossain, Deputy Secretary of Expatriate's Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry, the DC of Thakurgaon, Md Motiul Islam Chowdhury, Deputy Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Division, the DC of Patuakhali.
Besides, Dr K M Kamruzzaman Selim, Deputy Secretary of the Local Government Division, has been appointed as the DC of Chandpur, Mahmudul Alam, Deputy Secretary of the Local Government Division, the DC of Dinajpur, Ataul Gani, Deputy Secretary of Prime Minister Office (PMO), the DC of Meherpur, Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Private Secretary of Land Minister, the DC of Kurigram and M Kazi Emdadul Islam, Deputy Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry, the DC of Sylhet.
Earlier on September 23, the government appointed 10 new DCs to Brahmanbaria, Barguna, Pirojpur, Tangail, Narail, Natore, Chuadanga, Magura, Satkhira and Bogura.
