Trial of voting thru’ EVM to be held in Khulna

Staff Correspondent: Voting will take place in Khulna using Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) on Saturday.

7,039 voters in two centres of the city will have cast their Symbolic Vote using the EVM for the first time.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda will inaugurate the voting programme at Khulna's Zia Hall premises organized by election commission.

District senior election officer M Mazhar Islam said the mock voting with the help of the EVM will be held in Ward no. 18 and 21.

Local election officer Md Yunus Ali said the exhibition will be held to create awareness over EVM. The voting will be taken place from 11:00am to 9:00pm.
