Multi-storey building catches fire at Shantinagar

Staff Correspondent: A fire broke out at a shopping complex at Shantinagar area in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

The fire originated at the third floor of Tropical Razia Tower around 4:54 pm, said duty officer Ataur Rahman of the Fire Service and Civil Defense control room.

Ten firefighting units are working to douse the flame, he said.

Tropical Razia Tower is 16-storey building containing shopping complexes, banks and other important outlets.
