CEC to decide on polls schedule Nov 4

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda on Thursday said a decision on fixing the schedule for the upcoming 11^th parliamentary election will be taken at a commission meeting on November 4 (Sunday).

The CEC said this while briefing reporters after holding a meeting with President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban this afternoon.

“It is an informal meeting. President Abdul Hamid has been apprised of the election preparations and he is satisfied with our preparation. The EC will sit in a meeting on November 4 for taking the decision over the election schedule,” he told the reporters.

A 6-member delegation of the Election Commission, led by the CEC, had a meeting with President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban that began at 4:15 pm.
