No one being arrested without EC directive

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has claimed that a level playing field has been prevailing in the country ahead of 11th parliamentary election.

The CEC has also claimed that no one is being arrested without Election Commission directive.

The CEC came up with the claim at a briefing held at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital on Saturday. 

He said police are following our directions and they are not arresting any people without reason as per law.

Earlier the Election Commission (EC) held a meeting with the executive magistrates.
