‘Khaleda won’t be able to participate in polls’

Staff Correspondent: Attorney General Mahbubey Alam has said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not be able to participate in 11th parliamentary election.

The Attorney General came up with the observation while talking to the reporters after the High Court directed an order that a person who had been jailed more than two years is unable to contest in election.

On Tuesday, the court directed an order that if a person has been jailed more than two years, he or she will not be able to participate in election.
 The court said if the convicted person under the jurisdiction of Appellate Division, they will not be able to participate in the upcoming election.
