Nomination of Imran H Sarker rejected

Kurigram Correspondent: Returning Officer (RO) of Kurigram has rejected nomination papers of 19 candidates including Imran H Sarker, spokesperson of Gonojagoron Mancha.

The district RO Sultana Parvin, also deputy commissioner of the district, confirmed the news on Sunday.

According to sources of Kurigram RO office, a total of 57 candidates of Awami League, BNP, Jatiya Party and Independent submitted nomination papers for contesting polls in four constituencies in Kurigram. Of them, nomination papers of 19 candidates were rejected.

Imran H Sarker submitted nomination paper for Kurigram-4 as independent candidate. But his nomination was rejected due to error of serial number of public who signed.
