Writ filed seeking postponement of EVM use

Staff Correspondent: A candidate has filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking postponement of electronic voting machine (EVM) use in the upcoming national election.
On Monday, Supreme Court lawyer Yunus Ali Akand filed the writ petition with the High Court on Monday.
He is the candidate of Jatiya Party (Ershad) from Dhaka-8 constituency.
The lawyer said, “I have filled this writ petition for public interest. Because, I think it is the contradiction to Article 65 and 93 Sections of the Constitution".
