11th general election: 1,127 platoons BGB deployed

Staff Correspondent: A total of 1016 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in different parts of the country to control law and order centering 11 general election.

BGB Public Relation Officer Mohsin Reza confirmed the matter to the media on Saturday.

He said that a total of 1,016 platoons from BGB were deployed on December 18. Later, 111 more platoons were deployed following the demand from other parts of the country.

According to a work order of Election Commission, members of the armed forces, BGB, Coast Guard, and Ansar will be deployed as mobile or strike forces.
