Ershad elected from Rangpur-3 constituency

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Jatiya Party Chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad has been elected unofficially with a huge margin from Rangpur-3 (Sadar) constituency in the 11^th parliamentary elections held today.

HM Ershad bagged 142,926 votes with “Plough” symbol while his nearest rival BNP candidate Rita Rahman secured 53,089 votes with “Sheaf of paddy” symbol.

231,054 out of 441,671 voters in the constituency exercised their franchise in the 11^th parliamentary elections.
