Mayor Khokon asks for removing all posters in 48hrs

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon on Wednesday asked the authorities concerned of the corporation to remove within next 48 hours all posters, banners, and other campaign materials which were used ahead of the 11th parliamentary election.

The mayor gave the instruction while inaugurating a campaign to remove the election materials in front of Suritola Government Primary School in the old part of Dhaka this noon.

Pointing at all the candidates who participated in the December 30 election, he said, “I am giving 48-hour deadline to remove all posters, banners, and other campaign materials from the city corporation area.”

The mayor also sought cooperation from all the candidates in this regard.
