Music composer Alauddin Ali on life support

Entertainment Desk: Renowned composer and music director Alauddin Ali has been put on life support in the ICU at Universal Medical College and Hospital in city Hospital.

He was admitted to the hospital around 11:30pm, on Tuesday night. Later, he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital on Friday morning.

Dr. Ashis Kumar Chakrabarty said that blood pressure of the patient fall this morning. At one stage, his heartbeat stopped which is called cardiac arrest. The situation brought under control when the heart beat became normal few seconds later. However, the physical condition of him is stable right now. Next 24 hours is critical.

Alauddin Ali, who won the National Film Award no less than eight times, composed music for more than three hundred films during his long career.

He was born in Banshbari village of Bikrampur in Munshiganj on December 24, 1952.
