Demand for withdrawal of Chhagalnaiya OC

Staff Correspondent: Probashi Paribar Oikya Parishad Foundation has demanded to withdraw Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chhagalnaiya Police Station M M Morshed for his derogatory comments over the Bangladeshi immigrants.

They also demanded to bring him under law and ensure punitive measures.

The organisation came up with the demand from a human chain programme held in front of Jatiya Press Club on Friday.

Speakers said, “M M Morshed made an awareness speech against child marriage, drug, eve teasing, terrorism and misuse of mobile phone. At one stage of his speech, he made a derogatory comment to the immigrants, saying you (girls) do not marry immigrants. If you marry them, they go abroad three months. Then their family members conduct with you as maid servant. If your parents force you to marry them, make a call on 999.We will take steps.”
