Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has asked Omar Faruk Chowdhury, lawmaker from Rajshahi-1 constituency, to leave electoral area for his alleged involvement in electioneering breaching electoral code of conduct ahead of the upcoming Upazila Parishad elections slated for March 10.
EC Joint Secretary Farhad Ahmed Khan confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
“A letter will be sent to the lawmaker in this regard,” the EC official said.
