Atiqul casts his vote

Senior Reporter: Atiqul Islam, Awami League’s candidate for Dhaka North City Corporation mayoral by-election, cast his vote on Thursday morning.

He cast his vote around 8.30am at Nawab Habibullah School and College centre in capital’s Uttara.

The four other aspirants for the mayor post are – Jatiya Party’s (JaPa) Shafin Ahmed, National People’s Party’s (NPP) Anisur Rahman Dewan, People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Shahin Khan and independent candidate Abdur Rahim.

The by-election to the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayoral post started on Thursday morning.

The voting began around 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm without any break.
