Mymensingh City Corporation maiden polls May 5

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has announced schedule for maiden election to Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) to be held on May 5.

Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) will be used in all 130 voting stations for the city polls.

EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed said this after a meeting at Nirbachan Bhaban on Monday afternoon.

According to schedule, the last date for nomination submission is April 8 and they will be scrutinised on April 10.

April 17 is the last date for nomination withdrawal.

The government upgrade Mymensingh municipality to the country’s 12th City Corporation in April, 2018.
