Airlift set up to rescue stranded victims of FR Tower

Staff Correspondent: Airlift has been set up to rescue victims of the fire broken at F R Tower on Road-17 in Dhaka’s Banani as many people got stranded in the high-rise building.

However, how many people got stranded in the building could not be ascertained immediately.

It was understood that many of the people have fallen sick due to smoke.

Fire originated at around 12:55pm on Thursday. Some 17 units of Fire Service are working to douse the blaze.

Members of Navy and Air Fore joined the rescue operation. A helicopter was seen to make round over the building fire broken.
