Restriction on some roads in Gulshan

Staff Correspondent: Some Gulshan-1 roads have been made off-limit to traffic following fire incident at DNCC market.

Police put barricade on the way to Gulshan-1. As a result, no vehicles were allowed to go there from Hatirjheel, police plaza, Mohakhali TB gate and Gulshan-2. 

People in Gulshan area were seen walking following the traffic restriction. Pickup vans, ambulance, fire service and emergency vehicles were allowed to move there.

Earlier, a fire broke out at a kitchen market near the Gulshan- 1 DNCC Market in the capital around 5:30am. Later, 20 fire units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

Primary investigation said that the fire originated from kitchen market of the DNCC market.
