Sit-in programme postponed till Monday

Staff Correspondent: A sit-in programme in front of the Dhaka University vice chancellor’s residence has been postponed till Monday.

Nurul Haque Nur, the vice president of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union, said on Wednesday morning said the university authorities have to meet their demands by Monday otherwise they would take tough programmes.

Earlier, Nurul Haque Nur along with other students started sit-in programme in front of the vice chancellor’s residence from Wednesday morning protesting an assault incident.

Nur said, “We are hopeful that the authorities will meet our demands”.
Nur and his classmates came under the assault when they went to Salimullah Muslim Hall of Dhaka University to submit a memorandum protesting the attack on a resident student.
