TCB to sell commodities at 187 spots in Ramadan

Staff Correspondent: The state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling essential commodities at subsidized rates at 187 spots across the country in a bid to keep prices stable during the holy month of Ramadan beginning next month.

The TCB will sell commodities at 35 spots in Dhaka city, 10 spots in Chattogram city, 30 spots in the remaining six divisions (five spots in each division) and 112 spots in 56 district towns (2 spots in each district town).

Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak came up with the information in absence of the Commerce Minister while replying to a supplementary question of opposition Jatiya Party lawmaker Pir Fazlur Rahman in the parliament on Thursday.
