Senior journalist Mahfuz Ullah dies

Senior Correspondent: Senior journalist Mahfuz Ullah died on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok.
BNP chairperson's press wing member Shamsuddin Didar confirmed this quoting his daughter Nusrat Homaira.
Nusrat said “My father died at 11:00am”.
Nusrat, who was accompanying her father in Bangkok, said they were now working to bring back his body to home at the earliest possible time.
Mahfuz Ullah, 69, had been suffering from complications in heart, kidney and lung.
The journalist was admitted to the Square Hospital in Dhaka with chest pain on April 2. He was treated at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit and had been put on life support.
He was flown to Thailand on April 10 for better treatment.
Former president of Bangladesh Student Union Mafuz Ullah, also a writer and columnist, has been well-known for his critical views in TV talk-shows.
Mahfuz Ullah was born in 1950 in Noakhali. He obtained his masters in physics and journalism from the University of Dhaka.
He got involved in journalism when he was a student and had been associated with popular weekly 'Bichitra' since its inception in 1972.
