Though under risk, no threat of attacks: Monirul Islam

Staff Correspondent: DMP’s Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) chief Monirul Islam said that though Bangladesh is also under risk like other countries of the world, but there is no information over any definite attacks.
He told this to the reporters as his own office on Saturday.
Monirul Islam said, “Though Bangladesh is under risk as part of the global risk, there is no threat of attacks here. We, however, are monitoring in this regard. Besides, we strengthened security measures after New Zealand attack.”
We hope, though there is risk, but terrorist will not be successful in Bangladesh, he said.
Eleven Bangladeshi workers sent back by Sri Lanka are being interrogated by the law enforcement to find out if they had any link to one of Easter Sunday bombers, he added.
He said, “The workers arrived in Dhaka on Friday morning. They worked at a tobacco factory in Sri Lanka owned by militant leader Inshaf Ahmed Ibrahim.”
