RAB cordons off ‘militant hideout’ in capital

Staff Correspondent: The members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) have cordoned off a house in Bosila area of capital’s Mohammadpur suspecting a militant hideout.

The elite force members cordoned off the house from around 3:30am to 5.00am.
Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of Rab's legal and media wing, said sensing presence of the lawmen, several improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were exploded around 5.00am.

Several militants might be inside the house. RAB are trying to detain them alive, he said.
