ACC sues Farmers Bank former MD, 6 others

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against seven people, including Former chairman of Farmers Bank Audit Committee Mahbubul Haque Chisty on charge of embezzling of Tk60 crore.

ACC Deputy Director Mohammad Sirajul Haque filed the case with Gulshan police station on Monday, said ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.

Earlier on Sunday, in a meeting the watchdog approved the case against the accused.

The other accused are- Roseburg Auto rice mill managing director Hazrat Ali, former manager and SVP of Gulshan corporate branch Delowar Hossain, Farmers Bank Sherpur Branch Chief Uttam Barua, Former additional director of the bank AMM Shamim, Former senior executive vice president Faysal Ahsan Chowdhury and city survey limited managing director Khayrul Alam.
