Nothing to be panicked: CTTC Chief

Senior Correspondent: Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit Chief Monirul Islam said religious extremists would be more crazed after the attack in Sri Lanka. However, there is nothing to be panicked over the issue.

Monirul Islam said this while addressing a discussion organized by Bangladesh Online Activist Forum (BOAF) at national press club in the capital on Monday.

He said “We had seen a tendency that extremist would take a revenge after the New Zealand attack. They are quite excited. That’s why the risk has increased than previous time.”

Sri Lanka is neighboring country of us. Such attack may take place in our country too. We thought about it. Similar vicious move was tried here before our national election. However, that was not made public. The impact of Holy Artisan attack is following us. Still, many foreigners ask us about safe restaurant,” CTTC Chief added.
