 One will not get pension benefit if joins job in 35 yrs: PM

Parliament Correspondent: Prime Minister and Parliament leader Sheikh Hasina has said that anyone will be able to do job for 22 or 23 years and will not get pension benefit if he or she joins job in 35 years.

The Prime Minister said this in replaying to the question of Deputy Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad at the Parliament on Tuesday.

Raushan Ershad recommended at least 32 years of age to enter the government service. 

Sheikh Hasina said increasing the age limit for entry of government jobs is being demanded. In 35 years, if someone applies for a PSC job, it will be 38 years to get the job. At the age of 38, if one takes a job, he or she will be able to do the job 22 years.
 

She said some people are taking jobs in 24-25 years. Already retirement age has been increased from 57 to 59 years. If one enters job in 38 years, he or she will not get full pension benefit.
