High Court summons BFSA chairman

Staff Correspondent: The High Court has summoned chairman of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) to explain why they failed to withdraw or seize 52 products found to be substandard in a BSTI test.

 

The High Court bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-al-Jalil passed the order on Thursday.

The court also ruled that why a contempt of court will not be issued against him.

He has been asked to explain the matter on June 16.

Barrister Shihab Uddin Khan stood for the petitioner.
