Circular bus service launched in Uttara

Staff Correspondent: A circular bus service of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC), which will run on two routes in the capital’s Uttara, has been inaugurated today with an aim to ease traffic congestion in the area.

The bus service has been inaugurated in the joint venture of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMC) at Uttara's Rabindra Sarani in the capital.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam presided over the inaugural ceremony where Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon attended as the chief guest.

The service will initially run with some 10 air-conditioned BRTC buses on the two routes. One of the routes is from Uttara passport office to house building and the other one is from airport to sector 12.
