Gas outage to hit parts of Dhaka Wednesday

Staff Correspondent: Parts of northern Dhaka—and a vast majority of the industrial district of Joydebpur—will experience a gas outage from 6:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesday.

As a consequence of gas pipelines being replaced, both residential and commercial subscribers in the capital's outskirts of the Uttara, Jowarsahara, and Baridhara DOHS areas, are expected to be hit with low pressure of gas supplies.

The gas supply to all industrial units and CNG refilling stations—that fall between the Joydebpur intersection and Banani rail crossing—will remain suspended, reads a press release of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd (TGTDCL).

According to a press release issued by TGTDCL on Tuesday.

The press release said, gas pipeline replacement work is expected to be carried out near Shahid Ramizuddin School and College in the underpass project's alignment.
