Sadarghat launch terminal witnesses huge crowds

Staff Correspondent: Rush at Sadarghat launch terminal has been started to increase as holiday makers gathered there for leaving Dhaka ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr which is set to be held on June 5 or 6 subjected to sighting moon.

Though people started to go home since Thursday afternoon, a mad rush was seen at launch terminal on Saturday. Most of the launches were packed with passengers by the noon.

According to officials of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), rush of passengers is much than the past days. Extra launches are also ready for the excessive passengers. Besides, steps have been taken for moving challenged people in launch terminal. There are also ambulances to take people who fall sick at the lunch terminal.
