Launch services halted due to inclement weather

Senior Correspondent: The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) on Sunday halted plying of launches in river routes from Sadarghat launch terminal in the capital due to inclement weather.
The BIWTA authorities made the announcement around 10:00am.
BIWTA Traffic Inspector Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter.
On the other hand, home bound people were seen waiting in a long queue on the launch ghat following the disruption.
The service will be resumed this noon if the weather condition improves.
