Logic behind gas price hike: Obaidul

Senior Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader opined that the government has hiked the gas prices following some logical reasons.

Obaidul Quader made the opinion while addressing newsmen after visiting ailing veteran actor ATM Shamsuzzaman at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the capital on Tuesday noon.

He also opined that people will not response over the protest program of BNP and hartal of leftist parties protesting gas price hike.

Obaidul Quader also said,“There are some logical reasons behind gas price hike. The government had to do it to coordinate some factors. The government is alert so that people do not suffer. The people of the country are now very realistic. I believe, they will take matter of gas price hike easily.”
