3 sentenced to death for killing one in capital

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has sentenced three persons to death and seven others to life term for killing a man in 2011.

Judge Abdur Rahman Sardar of Speedy Trial Tribunal-4 pronounced the verdict on Thursday noon.

Death penalty convicts are Rahim alias Arif, Jiku and Abu Bakar Siddik alias Tiger.

Who have been sentenced to life term are Monti, Milon alias Chopa Milon, Akash alias Russel, Forhad Hossain, Sajib Ahmed Khan, Shahid Chan Khadem and Mohammad Ali Howladar Babu.

According to the prosecution, the convicts stabbed Rajab to death at Nawabpur in Kotwali Thana of Dhaka in 2011.
