BB releases new bank notes

Economic Correspondent: Bangladesh Bank (BB) released new notes in the market from Thursday (August 1) ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

People can collect the new notes from different counter officers of Bangladesh Bank. Besides, the notes will also be distributed from different branches of the commercial banks in Dhaka, Narayanganj and Gazipur.

The notes will be distributed from August 1 to August 8 (except the government holidays), according to a Bangladesh Bank circular.

New notes of Tk10, Tk20, Tk50 and Tk100 are being distributed maintaining special systems. A person will be allowed to collect notes once.
