Probe finds no negligence in Nusrat murder

Staff Correspondent: The probe body has not found any negligence of the Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Madrasa’s Governing Body chairman AKM Enamul Karim in sexual harassment and murder of Nusrat Jahan Rafi.  

The report was submitted before the court of HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader on Monday.

Earlier on July 15, the HC directed the government to conduct an enquiry against the Madrasa’s Governing Body chairman and Additional district magistrate PK Enamul Karim over their role in the case.

The report was submitted, following the court order, deputy attorney general ABM Abdullah Al Mahmud Bashar said.

Nusrat, who was burnt allegedly after refusing to lift sexual abuse charges against Principal Sirajuddoula of the madrasa, died at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery of the DMCH.
