Pathao driver knifed on throat to death on city flyover

Senior Correspondent: Motorcycle was snatched away after slaughtering driver of ride-sharing service Pathao on the capital’s Malibag flyover early Monday.

The deceased was known as Milon, 35, who used to live at Gudaraghat area of Mirpur-1.

Md Shahid, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shajahanpur Police Station, confirmed the news to risingbd on Monday afternoon.

Poice said Milon himself run away from the flyover to the locals after muggers knifed on his throat, causing excessive bleeding. He was firstly taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). He was referred to National Heart Institute as bleeding was not stopped even after conducting operation. He succumbed there early Monday.

Milon’s friend Siraj said that he talked to Milon over mobile phone around midnight. He was supposed to go to Sadarghat. After a while, we got news of his being injured. He (Milon) was father of a daughter and a son.

Nobody was arrested over the incident till the report was filing on Monday afternoon.
