Shafiqul Islam made new DMP commissioner

Senior Correspondent: Shafiqul Islam, Chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police has been appointed as the new commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).  

Public Security Division of Home ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday afternoon.

Born in Chuadanga on October 30, 1962, Shafiqul Islam joined police department in 1989. He successfully worked in various districts.
