Dengue claims four more lives

Risingbd Desk: A total of four people have died of dengue fever in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Jashore districts on Tuesday.  

In Dhaka, a man died from dengue at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) around 2:30pm.

The deceased Ariful Islam, 34, was a dweller of Muradpur Madrasa area in capital’s Jurain.

DMCH police outpost in-charge Bacchu Mia confirmed the matter.

In Mymensingh, a garment worker named Hafizul Islam, 35, died around 4:00am on the way to Dhaka from Mymensingh.

Family sources said, Hafizul got admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and returned home after getting recovery. But, he became sick again on Tuesday and died on the way to Dhaka.

In Khulna, a woman died of dengue while under treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Shahida, wife of Saeedur Rahman, hailed from Pasharipbunia village under Bhandaria upazila in Pirojpur.

In Jashore, a 55-year-old woman has died of dengue fever at Jessore General Hospital.

The deceased was known as Rebeka Khatun, wife of Sekendar, hailed from Rajbaria village under Monirampur upazila.

Jessore General Hospital's Director Dr Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter.
