State to appeal against Minni’s bail

Staff Correspondent: The State will file appeal against the High Court (HC) order that granted bail to Ayesha Siddika Minnis in the sensational Barguna’s Rifat Sharif murder case.

Md Sarowar Hossain, Deputy Attorney General of the concerned court, told this to the reporters after Minni was granted bail on Thursday.

He said, “We are shocked by granting bail to Minni. We decided to file appeal against the bail order.”

He further said, “There were many allegations against Minni. Earlier, he had given statement confessing her part of involvement as planner in the murder. She made contacts over mobile phone 13 times with the key accused Noyon Bond before and after of the incident. However, the HC granted bail to her. We decided to file appeal against the HC order.”

Md Sarowar Hossain said, “As Minni is a woman and will remain under custody of her further. She will not misuse of the bail as she was ordered not to talk to media during bail period. The trial court could cancel her bail if she breaches the condition.”
