Cops were target of attack: DMP Commissioner

Senior Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia has said police were the target of attack in Science Laboratory intersection in the capital.

The DMP Commissioner made the opinion while addressing resporters at his office on Sunday noon.

He said, evidences were collected from the spot. Besides, people from the adjacent areas provided information. Investigation is underway following these.

“There is no Islamic State (IS) in this country. Basically, local terrorists conducted the attack,” he said.
