500 metric tons of hilsa to be sent to India

The Bangladesh government will sent around 500 metric tons of hilsa fishes to India as greetings on occasion of Durga Puja.
Ministry of Commerce gave the approval of sending hilsa on Wednesday.
Commerce Secretary Dr Md Zafar Uddin said that this is not the matter of export.
“Bangladeshi traders will take the hilsa to Kolkala. Later, the fishes will be sold there,” he added.
Ministry sources said that basically, these hilsa fishes will be sent to India after coordination between a group of Indian businessmen and a group of Bangladeshi businessmen.
