Shamim’s 7 body guards land in jail

A Dhaka court has sent seven body guards of SM Golam Kibria Shamim to jail in a case filed for operating illegal casino business.

Dhaka Metropolitan magistrate Habibur Rahman Chowdhury passed the order on Thursday.

The seven accused are- Md Delwar Hossain, Md Murad Hossain, Md Jahidul Islam, Md Shahidul Islam, Md Kamal Hossain, Md Samsad Hossaim and Md Aminul Islam.

Earlier, investigation officer (IO) DB police inspector Fazlul Haque produced the accused before the court seeking four days remand.

On September 20, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested Shamim along with his seven bodyguards from his Niketan office in the capital.
