Dengue outbreak declines as it was taken as challenge

Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam said dengue outbreak has declined with combined efforts of all as it was taken as challenge, without being panicked by the mosquito-borne disease.
The Minister said this while discussing a roundtable meeting at East West Media Group in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential area on Saturday. The Daily Kalerkantho arranged the programme.
Tajul Islam said, “Without being frightened, we took it (mosquito and dengue outbreak) as challenge this year. The impact of dengue has decreased enough with the coordinating efforts and participation of all.”
The Minister said, “Bangladesh is capable of facing dengue menace. People led by the government will solve the crisis. There is nothing to be panicked. Our activities to control mosquito will continue for year long.”
Dengue situation will further improve very soon, he hopes.
