‘Bangladesh would be among first 20 countries by 2041’

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said Bangladesh would be one of the first 20 economically developed countries by 2041.

He said, “Economically, China would be the first country in the world by 2030 while India third. Bangladesh will secure position middle. So, we have go ahead with China and India.”

The Finance Minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural session of a two-day conference of Asian Development Bank (ADB) titled “Harnessing Blockchain Technology for Development” at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka on Sunday.

He said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have been working relentlessly for people of the country. The government is working so that at least one member of every family get employment by 2030.”

He also renewed the government’s vow to turn Bangladesh into a hunger and poverty free country within the next decade by 2030.
