Bishwa Ijtema in 2 phases this year too

Bishwa Ijtema will be held in two phases this year too. The second largest congregation of Muslims is set to be held in January on the bank of the river Turag on the outskirt of Dhaka.

The first phase is scheduled to take place on January 10-12 while the second phase will be held on January 17-29.

The leaders of two factions of Tabligh Jamaat reached the decision in a meeting with Home Minister at the Secretariat on Monday.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, State Minister for Youth and Sports Jahid Ahsan Rasel, Cabinet Secretary Anwar Hossain, Secretary for Religious Ministry Anisur Rahman, IGP Dr Javed Patwari were also present in the meeting.
