State minister Shahriar urges media to stay beside Shakib

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam urged media to stay beside cricketer Shakib Al Hasan.

The minister wrote a Facebook post in this regard on Tuesday.

In his post, he said, “I expect that all Bangladeshi media and all Bangladeshis who work in foreign media will stand beside Shakib boldly.”

He also said, ICC has its own rules. BCB will check those but as a citizen of the country, everyone should stand beside Shakib.

A top daily claimed that Shakib Al Hasan got a proposal from gambler two years ago. Following the issue, Shakib is set to be punished by the International Cricket Council for not reporting a corrupt approach.
